Interlude 1

I've decided to create little inserts that aren't specifically addressing a set topic to allow me to reflect and clear my head a bit. Additionally these will be published as they're written rather than written and allowed to stew in draft form or given set publishing dates/times in future (which I do with a fair number of 'planned' posts). Consequently they'll likely be quite a bit rougher. I've decided to refer to them as Interludes. So, Interlude 1:

I'm feeling a bit conflicted today. I've been extremely inspired by the ADF DP and (obviously) have been following it of late. At the same time I can't help but feel that I'm neglecting my OBOD work. Especially as I find both organizations to be oddly complimentary. There's an excellent article here by John Michael Greer - a long time member of both organizations that outlines the fundamental differences and similarities. I'll refer you, noble reader, to that article rather than attempting to clumsily outline the same.

So, while I'm feeling great about working on my DP, interacting with the Neo-Druidry group on The Cauldron: A Pagan Forum etc, I feel like I'm neglecting the OBOD work.

I know that this is understandable and acceptable as I am a student, desperately looking for work, and trying to clean up the house/yard from years of disinterested neglect - (death of a parent + long undiagnosed Hypothyroidism + constant income/job changes = chaos on the homefront) - so it is perfectly okay not to dive in to OBOD work, but instead to follow my heart and inspiration at this time.

I am not abandoning OBOD or giving up on the work, rather, I am taking my time and only taking on what I can handle right now. That's not so bad, right? In fact, were I to force myself to take on the work now  as opposed to a point in the (hopefully) near future where I am  more open, willing, and able to put forth the needed time and effort then I could be doing myself, OBOD, and my Patron etc a disservice.

Still, it bothers me a bit. Hmm.
