So having started and stopped Schied's book twice I'm accepting I haven't the concentration for it for now. Instead I'm moving on to H.R. Davidson's Gods and Myths of Northern Europe.
It's surprisingly readable for an academic title which is very helpful. Not to say that Scheid's isn't either it just takes awhile to get going, also my natural curiosity is more inclined toward the Norse Hearth culture than the Roman Hearth culture. I do intend to read Scheid's book as well, just at some point in the future.
Similar to my posting for the Myth of Matriarchal Pre-History I'm planning to do a post per chapter. But hey totally planned that with Scheid's too sooooo :P
