I totally volunteered to do the rite.
So there's that.
It's not that I'm nervous I'll spill something, or trip, or get tongue-tied - this is me people, I do these things daily.
I'm just worried that it will end up being a pleasant ritual that's very enjoyable and satisfying but ... powerless? I mean it's Samhain and as a religion that incorporates the Ancestors with a capital A it just seems like it should 'weigh' more.
I haven't even started writing it, I've decided the deity of the occasion will be the Morrigan, Mannanan mac Lir the gatekeeper, probably Danu as the earth goddesss....the rest? Yeaaah.
Good thing we won't be holding it until November 3rd!
